Good morning all, I just wanted to make something clear............not everything posted on my blog was written by me, a lot of them I got out of my daily devotionals and I just want to share it with everyone because I feel someone may need to hear a word from the Lord. However, my thoughts are my own.....................so not to confuse things I will put my initials on what I write and whatever doesn't have my initials you will know that it was someone else's thoughts. I don't want to take credit for what is not mine.
Well, with that being said, we went on a couples retreat and we had a blast. Several couples from our church went.
I learned so much at the retreat you see my husband and I have been married for 4yrs and we are still learning things about each other and although we were friends before we decided to start dating we still don't know each other as well as we thought.
The speaker told us some things and I would like to share it with you ladies:
Please let your husbands know they are the most important person in your life (if you don't do it already).
You might be thinking well, my kids are the most important and then my husband, well, let me tell you that I battle with that thought even today. Remember that when God created man he created woman and then the children came. The children eventually leave the house to begin their own families and when that happens it's going to be only you and your husband. I am not telling you to push the kids to the side, but remember your husband needs to be happy also. Pay attention to the little things he likes sometimes we overwhelm ourselves with our everyday chores that we forget to pay attention to what our spouses are asking for.
This week has been an awesome week I feel so close to my husband it isn't funny and I also realize that what he was asking for wasn't too hard after all.
Also I learned that when you start to take things personal you need to check yourself because you may have more of you in you and not enough of God in you. That really got me also............Wow when God speaks he really speaks.......

Today's word:
WHERE ARE YOU TAKING ME?

Exodus 6:6-9 (NRSV)
Say therefore to the Israelites, 'I am the LORD, and I will free you from the burdens of the Egyptians and deliver you from slavery to them. I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment. I will take you as my people, and I will be your God. You shall know that I am the LORD your God, who has freed you from the burdens of the Egyptians. I will bring you into the land that I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; I will give it to you for a possession. I am the LORD.'" Moses told this to the Israelites; but they would not listen to Moses, because of their broken spirit and their cruel slavery.

MY friend Debbie, blind from birth, depended on her guide dog, Leader, to take her where she needed to go. Holding his harness, she would give the command, "forward," and he would guide her safely to her destination.
One afternoon, Leader and Debbie set out for a walk. After a bit, he deviated from their usual course, slowed down, turned a "wrong" way, and even led her through a thick hedge! Frustrated, when she stopped, Debbie asked someone, "Can you please tell me what happened?"
The woman answered, "Your dog is amazing! That parking lot he safely led you around is covered with broken glass."
Debbie says that Leader has taught her to trust God. When she takes hold of God's "harness," she can't see what dangers lie in her path. But God has the wisdom and power to lead her on the path that gets her where she needs to go.
Like Debbie, I sometimes feel frustrated, not knowing why I can't go directly where I think I should be going. But also like her, we can be thankful that God is our loving guide who leads us through the obstacle courses we encounter in life.
Prayer: Father, guide us in your path, not ours. When we don't understand our situation or your intent, help us to trust you and follow you anyway. Amen.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Faith grows as we trust God and experience God's help.
-- Camilla Madding (South Carolina, U.S.A.)
Wow this really spoke to me loud and clear............We are always relying on ourselves instead of just trusting God. I read the stories in the Bible and I am amaze on how certain people just trusted God completely...............we are just like the Israelites.............we trust God when it's convenient for us why not trust him when it's not convenient? Really meditate on today's message because we need to trust God more and STOP trying to guide our own lives.
Well, may God Bless you this morning and always. Remember smile, and always give Thanks to our Lord and Savior for just thinking about us. (MC)
