Today's Thought

I haven’t written over the weekend not because I didn’t want to but because I was very busy, with school shopping.

My weekend Praise God was peaceful.

God showed me something that convicted me and got me a little upset.
I was Praising the Lord and our Pastors got up to speak and I was trying to listen to what God had to say through them and I (for the first time ever) notice there was a lot of talking and movement during the entire service. God showed me how some of us were more interested in fellowshipping with each other than fellowshipping with Him (I too am very guilty of this).

I was told about this some time ago but I really never noticed it until this Sunday and the only thing I kept hearing was "Be still and know that I am God". God gave us Pastors to guide us (they are the Shepherds and we are the Sheep) and through them God speaks to us so there are times that the Lord has a message and if we don’t pay attention we will miss it.

I also realized that this doesn’t only pertain to Sundays but it pertains to our everyday life. How are we suppose to know what God is saying if we are constantly talking above Him? We need to learn to be still and know that He is God.

God has so much to say but we are constantly drowning him out, because we feel what we have to say or what we are going through is so much more important and if we just shut up for one minute and listen we would then hear God giving us a solution to our problem, or a message for ourselves or for someone else, etc……….but we need to listen I mean really listen.

Don’t miss out on a blessing because you couldn’t be still.
